Friday Five: A Time for Palms

14 March 2008

To help you adjust–and enjoy the process–here’s a Friday Five about time and transitions….

1. If you could travel to any historical time period, which would it be, and why?
A hard call.  I’ve always been fascinated by Enlightenment-era Europe, even though I don’t really agree with what came out of it.

2. What futuristic/science fiction development would you most like to see?
Hydrogen cars.  If that’s not futuristic enough, frequent, safe, inexpensive, eco-friendly space flight.

3. Which do you enjoy more: remembering the past, or dreaming for the future?

Hmm.   Dreaming for the future is a little more exciting, although remembering the past has its perks.

4. What do you find most memorable about this year’s Lent?
Easy: realizations about my vocational journey and the excitement of thinking about going to graduate school before ordination.

5. How will you spend your time during this upcoming Holy Week? What part do you look forward to most?

I will spend most of it working, although I expect to be able to go to something on each day of the Triduum, and maybe even on Wednesday morning.
