A New Prayer Resource

3 April 2007

By “new” I mean “new to me.”  Saint Jonah’s parish offers many links and pages on Orthodox prayer and liturgy.

This is quite a resource, even if all you want is a way to look at a whole host of Orthodox liturgies and services which, in the Eastern tradition, are usually scattered amongst a slew of service books.

There’s advice on building an Eastern liturgical library and on conducting these services oneself.  Now, I realize that most of my readers are not Orthodox, and I am not suggesting that people go out and start doing reader’s services willy-nilly.

But I am suggesting that this (along with this) might be a good resource for somebody trying to do a little extra for Holy Week, adding a little solemnity or newness to their prayer and the observance.
