Palabra Pura: the Aftermath

16 November 2006

Actually, there was no aftermath.  I had two bourbons at the reading, so there was no roughhousing or mayhem after the reading.  Ada Limón (who also blogs) was wonderful, and the good folks who run the series were quite welcoming and supportive.  Thank you to Mike, Mary, Ellen, Francisco, the Guild Complex, and the California Clipper.

Thanks also go out to all our friends who were able to make it.  It was good to be able to look out into the audience and see so many familiar faces.

Thanks so much for your wonderful poems, I read them again this morning.

    Keep in touch!

  2. Hi Jorge:

Thanks for your wonderful reading. I hope you can make some of the readings in 2007. I’ll be in touch regarding Momotombo. You’re “on deck”, just don’t know when we’ll get you in the “batter’s box” just yet. Saludos, FA

The reading was great, Jorge. And thanks for the copies of the poems you sent. It was nice enjoying them all over again. That Noah poem still floors me every time I read it.

I am sorry I had to miss the reading, had planned on being there, but Kate’s Grandmother’s death called us away.
Glad to hear it went well.
